Meet The Shadows! "An informal date in words and personal album pictures"...
Number eight of the 'Star Special' series of publications that all featured different music stars and also some actors popular at the time. Relating to the Shadows, there's a Cliff issue (of course), a special Wonderful Life film issue (great photos - will scan it at some point!), and a Jet and Tony issue (that seems to be very hard to find).
This was the first Shadows book/publication I acquired (no, not in 1963, in 2022), and it's still one of my favourites! It's mainly photos of the Shads at work and at play, compiled by themselves with captions and some little bits of writing (introduced by Cliff).
To quote the boys themselves: "This then is a record of the contemporary scene of The Shadows... the one nighters, the films, the tours, the disc sessions for Columbia..."
