Here are my scans of some of the early 1960s posters of the Shadows from 'Boyfriend' magazine, which I had been looking for for a long time... then last year, in the span of a month or so, I managed to acquire seven of them, and they are in amazing condition. There are quite a few more Shadows posters from this magazine that I don't own and have never seen - this is definitely not an exhaustive list!
Since I've only got an A4 scanner, I had to scan the posters in two halves and piece the images together very carefully. The pic with John Rostill and the first Hank Marvin one were so frustrating to try and combine as there always seemed to be one part that didn't line up - and those two are still not perfect.
These scans are probably the highest quality images of these posters you are going to find. They are unedited apart from some minor colour correction; it seems like the ink has faded a bit over time as well but I didn't want to mess with them too much. It's a shame about the crease in the centre from the page fold!

| 11 February 1961 - The (in)famous photo of Hank with the original red Strat!!! One day this very same issue of the magazine, tatty and spotted with old mould, came up for sale, and I bought it just for the poster that I had been trying to find for so long... then just a few days later, I found an absolutely pristine poster by itself...! | | |

| (P.S. This is my copy that I spent £15 on really just for the "lavish colour portrait of Hank"!) |
| 16 September 1961 - "moody colour portrait of Jet Harris" |
| 23 September 1961 - Tony |
| 30 September 1961 - the first of two Bruce posters |
| 7 October 1961 - Hank again |
| 16 November 1963 - A "farewell portrait" because this was about when Bruce announced he was leaving the Shads. As you can see, the photo was taken all the way back in 1961. |

| 25 January 1964 - The "new" Shadows with John Rostill |
